  1. Wow … Jab Jab back at it – Good News. A distant memory of a fantastic gig at Huddersfield Town Hall, must have been round about 1984 I reckon but cant find any hard evidence to support it. Went with a great mate “Pimmi” who left for London soon after swallowed by the lure of the smoke. Having seen the Beat many times was gonna give the Picturedrome a miss, but having stumbled upon this news a trip might be back on – Good Luck chaps

  2. Huddersfield Poly students union – mid 80’s, we (myself & my wife) worked on the HPU Ents team whilst trying to study, and Jab Jab were regular visitors. The union hall was the old church hall with a very low ceiling – the arrival of Jab Jab was always infamous for the phrase – “F**k, we’ll never get the genies in here!” [the genies being the lighting towers].
I’m proud to still have my 12″ copy of Keep on Smiling in my record collection.

  3. Saw Jab Jab a couple of times around 1979. Once at the Revolution in York and then again in one of York University’s college bars. A fantastic live band and good to see their music being rediscovered. ‘Grandpa’ has been a song that I only heard twice (at those 2 1979 gigs) but which has popped into my head periodically over the past 37 years – a gem which deserves a bigger audience.
